We have a number of medical educators with subject matter and examination expertise. These expert educators shape the premier learning experiences that AOGP provides by writing, curating, and presenting our educational content.
Our philosophy is to ground our education in general practice, with experienced GP educators, bringing in specialist presenters where relevant and appropriate.
Tim – a rural GP and AOGP’s CEO – has had an involvement in medical education at all levels for the past 15 years. He has a special interest in rural healthcare and primary care. His commitment to education, policy and systems to support quality practice has led to many representative roles in these areas nationally.
Karen has been working as a medical educator for the last 12 years. She is a partner at her practice, and has been a GP supervisor for 15 years. Karen also has experience working as an examiner for RACGP, and has a special interest in teaching and mentoring.
Don has over 30 years experience in medical education, having held medical faculty positions in both Australia and the United States. In addition to his clinical practice, Don is actively involved in teaching and supervising doctors in general practice at undergraduate, pre-vocational and vocational levels.
