AOGP Medical Educators

AOGP has been dedicated to the education and support of health professionals for over 15 years.

We have a number of medical educators with subject matter and examination expertise.  They are involved with us writing and curating content, running workshops and webinars, and supporting the learning experience that AOGP provides. Our philosophy is to ground our education in general practice, with experienced GP educators, bringing in specialist presenters where relevant and appropriate.

Meet our senior educators – Tim, Seshu and Don – who will guide you with expertise and professionalism.

Tim – a rural GP and AOGP’s CEO – has had an involvement in medical education at all levels for the past 15 years. Currently the lead ACRRM clinical educator of the Queensland country JDOCS program, he has a special interest in rural healthcare and primary care.

With 10 years of medical education experience, including a Graduate Certificate in Clinical Teaching, Seshu is an examiner for the RACGP and AMC. Seshu runs his own general practice, having worked in both urban and rural private practice since 2005, and is also the Vice President of the South Australian Indian Medical Association.

Don has over 30 years experience in medical education, having held medical faculty positions in both Australia and the United States. In addition to his clinical practice, Don is actively involved in teaching and supervising doctors in general practice at undergraduate, pre-vocational and vocational levels.
